There was held an online seminar among countries from Eurasia Regional Committee of International Association of Deposit Insurers with an initiate of Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund

 

On January 17, 2013 there was held an online seminar among countries from Eurasia Regional Committee of International Association of Deposit Insurers with an initiate and organizational support of Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund. The topic of this seminar was “Reimbursement of insured depositors through agent banks”.   Participants of the seminar were Deposit Insurance Organizations of 6 member countries (Azerbaijan, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and Kirgizstan) and 3 observer countries (Belarus, Moldova, Tajikistan) of EARC. The purpose of the seminar was sharing the experience on reimbursement of insured depositors through agent banks in an effective way with less time consuming and without leaving office. Moreover, seminar also helped EARC countries to find answers to their questions about the DIS from the experts. The experts from Azerbaijan, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, and Kazakhstan informed participants of the seminar about their experience on the topic and answered the questions forwarded them by other participants. Participants of the seminar support the idea of ADIF to hold such seminars regularly and were thankful to the organizers for holding such an effective seminar.

During the annual meeting and seminar of International Association of Deposit Insurers Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund were chosen as a chair of Eurasia Regional Committee for the years 2013-2014. As the Chair of EARC ADIF initiated the SDIF and KDIC to become a member of EARC and for the first time at the EARC history have held the online seminar.
