64% (4.4 mlrd. AZN) and 36% (1.6 mlrd AZN) of total amount of physical persons’ deposits are protected and unprotected deposits respectively.
Although amount of total deposits and protected deposits of physical persons in member banks have increased by 122 mln. AZN (2.8%) and 195 mln. AZN (6.2%) respectively, amount of unprotected deposits have decreased by 45 mln. AZN (2.7%). As the result, increasing rate of protected deposits has become much higher than increasing rate of total deposits. During the III quarter part of unprotected deposits were transferred to protected deposits while most of the deposits in III quarter of 2012 were protected deposits.
Member banks served to 6 0362 090 number of depositors while 6 006 273 person (94%) of this depositors are Protected depositors
Compensated amount of deposit in the II quarter was 1 404 mln. AZN which is 61.3 mln. AZN (4.6%) more than II quarter.
56%, 39%, and 5% of protected deposits are in AZN, USD and EURO respectively.
Process of Payment of compensatory pay-offs by agent banks (“Muğanbank” JOSC, “Bank Respublika” JOSC, “Azəriqazbank” JOSC) have been started since August 01, 2012.
Presently ADIF reserves are amounted as 51.9 mln. AZN.
The reserves of ADIF are regulated by the Investment Policy of ADIF. Part of resource of Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund amounted 23.9 mln AZN are kept as bonds with the 4% annual profit and 5 mln AZN are trusted to “Deutsche Asset Management International”.
We would like to remind you that deposits with more than 12% annual percentage rate are listed as unprotected deposits since July 01, 2012 and are not compensated by Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund.
Compensated amount for each protected depositor during insurance event are max. 30 000 AZN. The highest amount of compensation among CIS (in Kazakhstan 34 thousands of USD, in Russia 22 thousands of USD) are in Azerbaijan
