29-30 November workshop of Eurasia Regional Committee of the International Association of Deposit Insurers took place in Baku. The topic of the workshop was “The role of the deposit insuring systems in stabilization of financial systems”. The representatives of deposit insuring organizations of Azerbaijan, Russia, Ukrane, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan participated at the workshop.

Executive director of Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund Azad Javadov greeted the participants and opened the workshop. Firstly the director of Law department of Central Bank and the member of the Board of Trustees of Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund Rana Malikova made a speech and talked about the importance of the system of deposit insurance in the world.

During the workshop such topics like “Development of deposit insurance systems during crisis”, “Resources of insurance reserves and managing of assets”, “Payment of insured deposits”, “The role of deposit insurance systems in liquidation”, “Organization of informing the people” were discussed. The head of the Physical Bodies’ Deposite Insurance Fund Pasichnik Vasiliy,  director of the department of Organization of Deposit Insurance of Russia Deposit Insurance Agency  Aleksey Abramov, director of the department of Liquidation of Banks of Russia Deposite Insurance Agency Mariya Filatova, Deputy Chairman of Kazakhstan Deposit Insurance Fund Saule Shenol Zindayevna, director of the department of Problem Banks Affair of Kazakhstan Deposit Insurance Fund Aksar Tokseyitov, representative of Kazakhstan Deposit Insurance Fund Aliya Kanayeva, executive director of Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund Azad Javadov,  head economist of Payment department of Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Azer Iskandarov and economist of Payment department of Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Orkhan Huseynov made speech on these topics.
The event organized by Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund lasted two days.
